The Good Lyfe unity was started way back in 2005 but it was down in minds of the promoter Mr. President. Good lyfe unity was implemented on web site and the general E technology in 2008. Good Lyfe basically aims at the well being of any thing, simply Good Lyfe all over GoodLyfe is a Non-Governmental/non profit making organization formed in 2007 and duly registered under the Non-government registration statute of 1989, with the Ministry of Internal Affairs NGO’s board under the department of community welfare services with Reg. No..B0893612.C  This was an idea initiated by a  Youth raised from humble back grounds with long experience in working with the grassroot Effective change ORG , CBO, and groups spear head Saad Iga who through tireless efforts and over a period of years had enduringly introduced the idea to as many people as he could. However, several people expressed interest to take part in this organization, most of them ended up pulling out for lack of resources to be injected into this promising initiative. Thereafter it was registered in 2005 as Non-Governmental organization with the Ministry of Internal Affairs NGO’s board under the department of community welfare services with Registration number. The founders work for development, assisting individual families regardless of their age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religious belief or political affiliations aiming at raising the standard of living of the community as a whole but giving to HIV/AID’s infected and affected persons, orphans and vulnerable children, youth out of school, the disabled, who are unable to meet basic needs in life. We work for welfare of HIV/AID’s infected and affected persons, orphans and vulnerable children, youth, social, economic and advancements. In so doing, we expect the target groups in our country to contribute to the overall development of the country and hence increased standard of living and that of their families. GOODLYFE also encourage youth and women to participate in public affairs and decision making at all levels in matters affecting their social economic development. The organization works with and for all vulnerable groups in Uganda. In HIV/AID’s testing, counseling, guidance ,sensitization and medicare, educating orphans and vulnerable children and training entrepreneurship skills to the unemployed youth and low income business earners, training reproductive health, sex education, family planning, hygiene, sanitation, nutrition in a bid to impart skills to the target groups. Mission: To provide HIV/AID’s Testing, Counseling, Sensitization, Guidance and Medicare Programs plus promoting Child Health Programs in the fields of Good Hygiene, Sanitation, Safe Water and Nutrition, in addition to School Fees Facilitation and Scholastic Material Assistance to the Orphans and Vulnerable Children and promote all income generating activities and peer group counseling to the young & youth in our committees. Vision: To have an empowered HIV/AID’s sensitized community with orphans and vulnerable children having potential rights. Core values: Creativity and Innovation, hard work and determination, speed and efficiency, transparency and accountability, team work and partnership, communication and networking, recognition and reward. Objectives: • To provide HIV/AID’s, counseling & sensitization to the affected and infected groups. • To promote hygiene, sanitation and nutrition. • To assist to the orphans and disadvantaged/ vulnerable groups. • To promote income generating activities of youth/women.
